Apple Muffins

I baked these apple muffins yesterday and took some pictures this morning (natural light is the best). These muffins are a winner and I will definitely make them again. Will bake them slightly longer and reduce the sugar even further in my next attempt. Can you see that big fat apple chunk :) They are [...]

Salad

Boy am I stuffed after tonight’s dinner! I hate going to bed with a full stomach. Let’s see what we had tonight. I made a balsamic salad that consisted of lettuce, wild rockets, cherry tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, apples, mixed nuts (almond, nuts, cashews), dried raisins, dried cranberries, oranges and mint. Lovely combination. I learnt this [...]

My family

I’ve been wanting to blog much earlier but as usual I’ve been busy, lazy … well not really in the blogging mode lately. I hope all of my readers are doing well. I’ve kept up with my blogs reading but, just too lazy to leave comments. Gosh I hate applying for visas  — gotta submit [...]

King Prawns with mashed potato, celery, carrots and gherkins

I drafted this yesterday but I forgot to publish it. Yesterday I baked some king prawns and served them with mashed potato (I bought those instant ones since months ago), broccoli (boiled them for 1 min), carrots (I baked them but I should have just boiled them instead as it would have been faster) and [...]

My family

We dined in at my brother’s place last night. Had a delicious homemade Chinese meal. I played “Hell Kitchen” on Wii! Fun! I only tried the apprentice level and I did pretty good I think. So, dinner consisted of peanut soup, fried fish, broccoli & abalone in oyster sauce, steamed egg tofu & minced meat [...]

Mango Smoothie

Your whole day depends on how you greet the morning. As long as you welcome it with energy and high spirits, everything will go okay. So start the day with cheers and smiles :) A 30 minutes run or other form of exercises also do  wonders. At least  for me, provided that I have had [...]

Multi-Vitamins

Do you take supplements? If you do, what do you take? I used to take, like a year ago but for some reasons I stopped.  I’m starting to take these multi-vitamins (left), minerals (center) and plant concentrates – asparagus, cranberry juice, kale, rosemary extract etc. (right) again.   Whether I’m getting enough nutrients from my current [...]

Pumpkin-Filled Ravioli Chinois

Ravioli Chinois = Wonton :) So tonight dinner was a homemade Pumpkin-filled ravioli chinois with homemade pesto sauce. I’ve never made these before and it turned out pretty good :) The only big mistake was not to drizzle some olive oil over them after they were boiled. They were all stuck together by the time [...]
