			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Happy Sunday everyone! We have a pretty <strong>sad weather</strong> today. We can&#8217;t see the sun at all. <p>Right. My screen turned <strong>upside down</strong> the other day after pressing the wrong buttons! I thought that my LCD screen was spoilt! After googling around, I found the solution to turning it back to the upright position! Simply press <strong>ctrl + Alt + Up arrow</strong>!! :)</p>

<p>I took this picture on Saturday and then we were off to <a href="http://www.mustafa.com.sg/" target="_blank"><strong>Mustafa Centre</strong></a>, the shopping mall that never sleeps! Yeah it is the one and only shopping center in Singapore that operates 24 hours a day.</p>

<p>We did a big mistake going there on a Saturday! The place was <strong>jam packed</strong> and I could hardly move about. I only went to the 2nd floor i.e the <strong>supermarket</strong> where I spent over 70 minutes looking at each section.  I seldom go to Mustafa mainly because the location isn&#8217;t that convenient. We spent over $40 just on transport! That&#8217;s more than what we spent there lol.</p>

<p>I didn&#8217;t know I could find <strong>vanilla beans</strong> at Mustafa! They only had organic ones, going for $3.50 (for 2 beans). Well I bought some of course!</p>

<p>And I walked out with a couple of stuffs.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s what I got for about $35:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Cheezee</strong> cheese instant noodle. What&#8217;s this? I&#8217;ve never tried this and that&#8217;s why I bought it lol</li>
<li>Medium Masala <strong>Papadum</strong>. The last time I bought papadum was more than a year ago!</li>
<li><strong>Pumpkin waffle pancake mix</strong>. I don&#8217;t know why I bought this. I guess because I saw pumpkin and I wanted to try it?</li>
<li><strong>Turkish Pomgranate Tea</strong>. Again, I have never tried this before.</li>
<li><strong>Jalapeno pepper</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Tosai mix</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Kulfi</strong>. This is a pre-mixed and I have to add milk. I don&#8217;t know whether it&#8217;s good or not! I doubt the taste will be like the kind of Kulfi in Mauritius!</li>
<li>Fresh dill</li>
<li>Lady fingers.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After my 24 km run.</p>
<p>I wasn&#8217;t in a great running form today, most likely because I wasn&#8217;t fully hydrated prior to my run. So the run wasn&#8217;t that enjoyable unlike <a href="http://carine-olivia.com/blog/index.php/2009/05/its-a-lazy-sunday/" target="_self">last Sunday</a>. We started off at <strong>4.45 pm</strong> and  it was still <strong>very warm</strong> outside. After about twenty minutes of running, my mouth was already feeling dry. I consumed a total of 1.5 litres of fluid during the run.</p>
<p>Dinner was a scrumptious <strong>curry fish head</strong> along with a very cold coke zero. It tasted so so good especially after the long run! :)</p>

<li>3 punnets of red globe grapes</li>

<li>2 cucumbers</li>
<li>A bunch of celery</li>
<li>2 packets of baby spinach</li>
<li>1 packet of sweet potato leaves</li>
<li>Half a pumpkin</li>
<li>Mushrooms</li>
<li>1 lettuce</li>
<li>1 packet of mixed nuts</li>
<li>1 Softgrain sandwich bread</li>
<li>Coke Zero</li>
</ul>
<p>Mostly veggies! We still have meat in the freezer and I will get some fresher ones during the week. Just now I sliced the cucumbers and tomatoes for my lunch sandwiches. This will save me some time in the morning.</p>

<p>I am blogging from the tiny balcony right now and having a late breakfast. Speaking of the balcony, did you know that we were almost planning to make it an enclosed balcony with window panels around? Good thing we didn&#8217;t!</p>
<p>I didn&#8221;t want to eat until I was done with everything &#8212; I did grab a couple of grapes though. Last night I shifted the wireless router from the living room to our room because the signal is always low when we access the net from our room, making the connection unstable. Just now I had to shift the router back to the living room because I couldn&#8217;t get any signal from the balcony!</p>

<p>It&#8217;s egg whites and fruits on the plate and a strawberry tea in the glass. I don&#8217;t like egg yolks. So before I fry my eggs I remove the yolk, which I either freeze for later use or throw away. But it&#8217;s better to freeze :)</p>

<p>Well other than the household chores, I went for an <strong>8 km run</strong> at the back of my place <strong>first thing in the morning</strong>. I ended with some resistance exercises back in the home gym.</p>

<p>I brought a small camera along to snap this!  This is where I normally do my <a href="http://carine-olivia.com/blog/index.php/2009/05/a-double-workout/">interval runs</a> or runs that are less than 10 km. The whole stretch is only 2 km long but I always run back to back twice.  There are distance markings on the ground, so it&#8217;s easy to figure out the distance without using any distance sensors.</p>
<p>The weather is lovely so far  &#8212; cool and breezy. I am preparing lunch later. Probably a noodle soup.</p>
<p>A couple of things that I want to do this weekend:</p>
<ul>
<li>Plant catnip and corriander</li>
<li>Bake a condensed milk cake!</li>
<li>I also need to look for a skirt but I am lazy to shop for clothes &#8230;</li>
<li>Watch the dvds that the husband rented (Marley and Me included!)</li>

<p>After work, my colleague gave me a lift to the nearest mrt station. So I was back before 6.50 pm &#8212; that&#8217;s pretty early right. Made myself a sandwich before heading out again for an <strong>interval workout</strong> which was already planned since yesterday.</p>

<p>Today&#8217;s interval workout was pretty much the same as <a href="http://carine-olivia.com/blog/index.php/2009/04/interval-training-followed-by-dinner/">last week</a>.</p>
<ul>
<li>3 km warm up</li>
<li>600 m x 10 sets (average 2 min 35) with rest interval of 2 mins per set or when my heart rate was 120 bpm (I used the manual way to check as I still haven&#8217;t repaired my Polar watch).</li>
<li>1 km cool down</li>
</ul>

<p>I lazed and took a short nap in the afternoon before my long run. It was this sunny when I went out for my long run. However it was breezy and soon after it was sunset.</p>

<p>It was supposed to be a 2 hr run but my friend and I ended up running <strong>2 hr 45 mins</strong>! That&#8217;s between <strong>25 km &#8211; 28 km</strong>. It wasn&#8217;t as hard as running in the morning hot sun like we did last week. We are planning to go for evening runs from now on until the weather gets a bit cooler.</p>

<p>I made a <strong>healthy banana cranberry soy smoothie</strong> for me and the husband after I came back from my run. It&#8217;s the first time I buy this soy milk.  It was on sale, two for the price of one.</p>

<p>I also had an unhealthy <strong>coke zero</strong> :) I just needed something <strong>COLD</strong>!!  I did drink plenty of water before having my coke though. During my run I bought half a litre of mineral water. Yeah that&#8217;s not much for a 2hr45mins run &#8212; I wasn&#8217;t thirsty cause I drank plenty before the run.</p>

<p>And dinner was a quick <strong>noodle soup</strong> with plenty of <strong> spinach</strong> as you can see! I shared this bowl with him. I also had a couple of other things like my <a href="http://carine-olivia.com/blog/index.php/2009/04/strength-training-followed-by-dinner/" target="_self">pear-chocolate light brownie </a>(I still had one left in the fridge and it still tasted great), some grapes etc.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s <strong>MONDAY BLUES </strong>tomorrow :(</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Tonight I did gym at home while watching Christina Aguilera&#8217;s  live concert DVD.  I always watch live concert DVDs when exercising at home even though I&#8217;d watched the same DVD many times before. Except for the half squat, I concentrated mostly on my <strong>upper body</strong> as well as my <strong>abs</strong> as my legs were still recovering from <a href="http://carine-olivia.com/blog/index.php/2009/04/interval-training-followed-by-dinner/" target="_self">yesterday&#8217;s interval workout</a>.</p>

<p>What I did was:</p>
<ul>
<li>1o x 5 sets half squat</li>
<li>15 x 5 sets <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nV5AL1FvBI" target="_blank">barbel bent-over row</a></li>
<li>8 x  5 sets Barbel Military press</li>
<li><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ar2iRusnnc" target="_blank">Planks</a> (front and side)</li>
<li>Boxing</li>
<li>20 x 3 sets push-ups</li>
<li>250 crunches and sit-ups</li>
</ul>
<p>For dinner I prepared  <strong>rosemary grilled chicken with corn mushroom</strong>. Healthy and delicious! The rosemary herb was freshly plugged from <a href="http://carine-olivia.com/blog/index.php/2009/04/growing-rosemary/" target="_self">the pot</a>.</p>

<p>Dessert was a delicious homemade <strong>Brownie léger poire-chocolat</strong> (pear-chocolate light brownie ). I will blog the recipe soon! I actually videoed the steps but I&#8217;m not sure if I&#8217;m gonna publish it :)<strong><br />

Timing was an average 2:39 per set. I ended with a 1 km warm down run. Good thing I didn&#8217;t need to cook after coming back!</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s what we had for dinner. I made my own <strong>chicken and potato casserole</strong> with just a few ingredients that I had in hand. What did you have for dinner?</p>
