I’m officially a Mrs. now hehe. It’s been two days since I committed for life. I Will blog about the wedding day soon! There were some pre wedding hiccups and some bad coordination on the actual day but other than that, the night was great and we enjoyed! I am relieved that the big day is over because I can relax and enjoy now!! I will get the wedding photos after our honeymoon. For the time being, here are some of our studio photos. Once again, THANK YOU for attending our wedding and to those who couldn’t make it, thank you for keeping us in your thoughts on that day. Thank you for all the red packets and gifts received — We’ve yet to opened all the gifts because we’ve been too busy making babies eversince hahaha!

The title says it all. It’s been a stressful week and I took urgent leave on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Mum and dad are in Singapore! They arrived on Saturday morning and we went to fetch them. I managed to wake up at 9am after Friday night’s karaoke session (hen night) with my colleagues — will blog about this some other time. Suffered from some hangover symtoms that morning but I felt better afterwards. I asked them to bring some Made-In-Mauritius goodies like “biscuit manioc” and pates de fruits from “Les Vergers de Labourdonnais“. Received some wedding gifts and ang paos from my friends and families in Mauritius as well. Thank you to Angele & Lash, Priscilla Ng, my god mother & god father and all my uncles & aunties
Dinner was at my brother’s place. (Pic 1: my family; Pic 2:vegetable bee hoon; Pic 3: Tuna “Kalia”; Pic 4: Wedding gifts received from Mauritius)

Enyu, from Pisa (Italy), landed Singapore on Monday morning and she’s staying with me until this Saturday. I knew her in Beijing during my 6 months at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) learning chinese and it’s been 8 years since we last saw each other. She brought me a lot of made-in-Italy goodies (chocolates, wine, olive oil, pasta sauce etc).

Didn’t have much sleep lately — maybe just about 4 hrs everyday. I am having difficulties falling asleep (having insomnia maybe) — perhaps because there are too many things running through my mind or perhaps I’m simply not used to the snoring sound of my friend hahaha. I thought of getting sleeping pills from the doctor!
Wedding preparation is all settled. We were more busy with the ongoing house renovation. Spent lots of time at Balestier looking for lightings and toilet accessories. We had to get them delivered by the end of this week, hence this rush!
They say it’s bad luck for the groom to see the bride on the eve. So I’m staying at my brother’s place tonight and tomorrow.

We have booked our Hua Hin trip for our honeymoon! The last 3 nights will be spent in Bangkok for shopping. Hua Hin is a popular resort town about 200 km south of Bangkok and can be reached by car, train and flight (about 2-3 hours by car). It offers a wide range of beachfront accommodation, good golfing, and seafood galore. Hua Hin is becoming increasingly popular, although it has all but escaped the gaudy excesses of Pattaya and Patong.
Why Hua Hin? We were initially thinking of going to Pattaya and stay at The Rabbit Resort — there are so many good reviews about this private resort — but people said that Hua Hin is a better place than Pattaya for honeymoon because the latter is a busy place and is best for those who are still single. I also thought of Koh Samui and Phuket but they aren’t near to Bangkok — need to take plane — I definitely wanted to spend our last few days in Bangkok before flying back to Singapore because I’ve never been to Bangkok. We’ve also been to Phuket before.

We have just received a letter from HDB informing us that we can collect our house keys next week!!
We booked the flat almost 8 months ago and we are finally getting the keys. I’m excited! Unfortunately renovation won’t be completed by 14th March. I’m hoping we can move in by end of March, although the chances are pretty slim. Fingers crossed.

Canon in D is lovely! I think I’m gonna choose the piano version for my solemnization when I walk down the aisle. Which version do you prefer?
Bach’s Piano Version
Mozart’s Version
Oh… D day is in less than a month! We are having a maximum of 280 guests - about 60 friends of mine, 60 friends of his and the rest from his relatives. My parents are arriving a week before my big day. Can’t wait to see them! A few things that we have yet to finalise: Wedding favours, pageboy and evening programme. If I can’t get a pageboy, I will just get a girl hehehe.
