Today is my last day at my current company. I’ve worked here for the past three and a half years and it is indeed with mixed feelings that I am leaving. I’m gonna miss the colleagues the most. Damn yeah I will miss our outings, chit chats, drinks & gossiping sessions very much!! Below was my final farewell notes to the whole coy.
Hi all,
As you all know, today is my last day at HutCabb.
It is with mixed emotions that I send this email. It was not an easy decision to make because I truly enjoy working with all of you here at HutCabb.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to my friends and colleagues. I have learned a great deal from you and will miss your company. Thank you for all the support, insights, and help you have provided me over those past 3.5 years. I learned a great deal here!
Thanks for the memorable farewell gift album. Those pics will remind me of all the good and crazy times we’ve had during and after working hours
Will always LOL at a few particular pics hehehe.
Will definitely see you guys again.
Sincerely,
carine

They had an early farewell dinner for me last week because this week most of them aren’t in office. We went to NYDC then chilled out at Wala Wala. I’m gonna miss you all heaps!

Hazel’s two flatmates came all the way to our office to surprise her with a birthday cake with a childhood picture of her on it. Cuteeee! We were their accomplices and had to make sure that the birthday girl doesn’t leave the office until 7pm but most importantly, doesn’t suspect anything! But she did smell something fishy after hearing someone’s conversation haha.

Last Saturday a bunch of us stayed over at Gynette’s place. We had steamboat dinner followed by a small pre-birthday surprise for Hazel, who is officially a year older & wiser today. Happy Birthday Hazel!!! I bought a birthday cake from Bakerzin but I chose the wrong cake! Instead of a soft spongy & creamy chocolate cake, I got her a hard and dry chocolate pound cake hahaha.
We played mahjong the whole night! It was my first time learning the game, touching the tiles and playing on my own. Adrian was patient enough to teach Haze, Eunice and myself the rules and all. Boy was I confused at first, but after a few games I got the hang of it and managed to think on my own (well at least most of the time) and win a few games too. I’m still quite slow though. We didn’t notice that we played so long.

Time flies when you’re having fun. It was without doubt a fun night - constantly working out the brain and not to mention the stomach (with unhealthy snacks like doritos, mixed nuts, dried fish from Malaysia and drinks). We left Gynette’s place at 6am. I was supposed to go for a long run at 7am with my friend but when I called to wake him up, he didn’t pick up his phone. He most probably overslept. Good thing that he never picked up! hehe. I slept until 11am that morning and woke up for brunch followed by a movie with the boy. We watched “Jumper”.

Morning run on Saturday, followed by lunch with sis & Jon at Sakae Sushi. Slept the whole afternoon. Watched “cloverfield” at Bedok cinema — think it’s the cheapest, but one of the oldest cinema in Singapore (tickets at just $7 instead of $9 per adult during the weekend) in the evening. “Cloverfield” is one of the worst movies we’ve seen. The movie is similar to “The Blair Witch Project” i.e the actors run for their lives under the eye of a shaky hand-held camera. We had motion sickness and were both disappointed with the movie especially the way it ended. Kinda incomplete ending I think. Had a yummy curry fish head for supper!
Gym on Sunday morning. My BB Bench press was increased to 30kg (6 reps x 5 sets) with dar assisting me. As for my BB half squat, I just did 1 set of 60kg before I decided to reduce to 50kg and 40kg (with more reps). Dar wasn’t too happy with my decision as it was meant to be a power workout. Then with the machine: hamstring, back raise, calf raise etc. I prefer working with free weights because some of the machines are too complicated and aren’t comfortable to use. I ended with a 2.4km run at the stadium track under the hot sun because the gym’s treadmills were all in use.
Attended my colleague’s wedding on Sunday evening. Here are some pics. More in my flickr (private) and facebook.

Today: Felt like running at East Coast Park (ECP). It was already 6.45am when I started but I still went ahead. By the time I finished, it was 8.15am! Yeah I was a bit late for work …
Sunday: Weight training at the gym - 20kg bench press, 40 kg squats, hamstring curl, calf raise, abs — i.e the usual main stuffs. We were planning to meet sis for lunch but we felt quite lazy to go out haha. Shall meet this coming weekend.
Saturday: Had a satisfying 2hr run in the morning. Nowadays I don’t know how many kilometers I’m running when I do my long run. I just count the time. The rest of my Saturday was spent at home, either in front of the labtop or TV or was just sleeping.
Friday: The evening at Timbre with the colleagues was fun. I didn’t really drink — just a few sips of Erdinger — and I came back home by 1am as I didn’t want to ruin my Saturday morning run. We ordered 2 flaming towers (waterfall), one for D who just left the company and the other for L who’s tying the knot this Sunday. Took tons of pictures. More in my flickr or in my facebook!

Thursday: Photo shoot was fun but tiring especially towards the end of the day. It drizzled a little while we were shooting outdoors. Damn. But I guess it won’t really affect the pictures. A sunny weather would have been much better of course. I hated dragging that outdoor gown on a wet surface.

First group picture of the year. SprintDynamic is getting bigger compared to 3 years ago when there was just a handful of people coming down for training. Yuhour, from the old SD batch, came to visit us at the stadium all the way from New Zealand on Saturday. It’s nice to see him again after almost 3 years (?). Will definitely give him a call when we visit New Zealand or Cambodia! This year’s SD resolution is Team Effort, Team Harmony and Team Victory.
