Unflattering remarks
Today a friend of mine said that I gained weight and commented on my baby fats in front of 10 people. This is his 2nd time commenting on my weight!
– Shut the Fuck up –
Oh how I wish I had said this loudly! I simply told him that it’s not nice to say this to a lady. If I was in a better mood I would have made a joke out of it.
I don’t always get angry or upset by these unflattering remarks. I guess it depends on the moment, how they said it and most importantly who said it. Thankfully I won’t be seeing this person anymore. Honestly I know I’ve gained weight (and it definitely sucks not being able to fit in your favourite jeans skirts, shorts and all). I have my reasons. Period.
I will still cook, bake, eat and exercise.
Has anyone ever commented on your weight? How did you feel?

This afternoon the lion dance people came to our office. After that we went to Singapore Island Country Club for a very late lunch (3pm). Here, the kids are feeding them with mandarin.

Lion Dance

A little peek at my office space :) Polar HRM price list stuck to the wall, sample apparels on the right tray, a photo of me and my colleague stuck to the right side of the wall … My sister’s umbrella at the right side.

This morning before heading to office. I can’t wear this favourite necklace of mine anymore because it gives me a rash on my neck.

Goodnight everyone! Sweet Dreams!!

Oh i get this remark every time there is a family gathering and it would be the elders who would say that i look like a baguette and not gaining weight. Now their attitude has somewhat changed and some would even take my side and say that if he is healthy that way, it’s good. So if i feel good, no matter what the dog barks, the caravan makes its way.

Personally no, but I agree this is very embarassing. I mean WTF these kind of people should just look at themselves in the mirror and make sure they are the image of perfection.

Oh I know how it feels! Once my uncle told me that it looked like I put on weight lately -.-” I knew that already but having someone said it to me right in my face was embarrassing.
But you shouldn’t let these remarks affect you. Yes, some people can say things and make you angry or uncomfortable but just screw ‘em! As long as you are healthy and feeling good, what others say shouldn’t matter. Plus, I honestly think that you look fit and pretty. You exercise a lot (more than I do! :p) and enjoy the small pleasures in life by treating yourself on and off. That’s the way it should be! Bake, cook and eat and let us drool on your amazing food pics =D

@ Clive
I used to get the ‘you are too thin and look like a match stick’ remark when I was young and as much as I wanted to gain weight, I couldn’t at that time. Now it’s easy as ABC :)
