17 more days to Christmas …
Our Christmas tree was up since end November. I felt all christmassy then, took a couple of photos of the tree and went for a bit of Christmas shopping. A week later, this excitement died. My mood could have been affected by some unforeseen events too.
This morning I finally downloaded the pictures that I took when we set up the christmas tree and after looking at the photos, the excitement came back! The Santa Snowman cushion is reminding me to smile :)
Now, I want to go to IKEA soon, search for Christmas recipes etc. I’m not sure if I’m gonna bake Turkey this year. Maybe I will try something different. Roast beef? Ham? How about you? Any special food this Christmas?

This is the Santa Snowman cushion that I bought from “Barang Barang“. It was on sale. $15 I think?

I will post pictures of our Christmas tree another day. At the moment it’s looking a little bit weird. Something is missing. The gifts maybe lol. What’s in your wishlist?

I love the cushion too! hehe
I’ve been out at Orchard Road the other day. There were so many people shopping out there. It was so crazy.
Does Mikey stay away from the Christmas tree? I have a friend whose cat loves to play with the decorations. (the Christmas tree is next to the sofa )

Yeah Orchard Road is madness especially around Christmas. I try to avoid going there.
Thank goodness Mikey stays away from the Christmas tree!! I’ve never seen him play with the fake branches or decorations. Not that I want!

Wow I wouldn’t dare bake a turkey! Hahaha. It’s huge and … erm HUGE! :p
A juicy roast beef with mashed potatoes is a classic meal for Christmas. Yummy <3 Or you can have other side dishes like sautéed mushrooms, creamed spinach, and steamed or roasted asparagus. And what about Christmas log for dessert? ^.^
Oops, I just realized I made a list of everything I like for a Christmas meal! :D

Yes, it’s huge compared to a chicken hehe. For my potatoes I’d prefer the roasted & crispy-skin ones. Ahh I like sauteed mushrooms and creamed spinach. I just had creamed spinach yesterday.

you should keep moi-carine around and let others browse through it – especially your archives! if i remember right, your archives date all the way back to late 90s and early 2000! that makes you the oldest Mauritian blogger around!

@ Waz
Nah, not late 90s … only in 2001 (pages.intnet.mu – that time). I don’t think people are interested to read my past entries :D I myself don’t like to read them lol. I have changed.
Anyway … I’ve just re-opened it. But most photos are missing esp. after moving from host to host…
