Homemade Oat Crackers
I am so into homemade oat crackers lately. It’s crispy, healthy, tasty! Spread some cream cheese onto it and it’s good to go! This cracker only needs oat, salt and water. Of course you can experiment and add some herbs to the mixture. I’m thinking of black pepper, cheese, garlic powder, dried rosemary .. what else!? I should try with different flavours next time!

Here’s the recipe for the 3-ingredient Oat Crackers
Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 c water (more if needed)
- 1/4 tsp salt
Method
Blend the oats in a blender or food processor to create oat flour.
In a medium bowl dissolve the salt in the water. Slowly mix in 1 and 1/2 cups of the oat flour until it forms a dough – the rest will be used for rolling it out.
Lightly flour a large flat surface with some of the remaining oat flour. Turn the dough out onto the floured surface. Lightly flour the top and begin the roll out with a rolling pin. To roll it out as thin as you can or else the crackers will be tough and hard to chew.
Once rolled out, lightly flour the bottom of a baking sheet. Divide the cracker dough in half and gently lift half of it onto the baking sheet so it is smooth and flat.
Lightly sprinkle the sheet with salt and additional oats.
Pop in the oven at 350F for 20 minutes, or until dry and begins to lightly brown.
Once done, repeat with the other half of the dough.

Hmmm, oat crackers and cream cheese! Perfect combination for a nice snack! Oat crackers are also awesome with soups :D
I often buy oat crackers. Never ever even thought that I could do those crackers myself at home. Thanks for sharing!
