One day in my life

5.50 am. Awake. Change. Leave home. Run 10 km. 7 am. Back home. Shower. Get dressed. Chit chat with husband. 7.55 am. Leave home. 9 am. Reach office. Work. 6.30 pm. Leave office. 7.40 pm. Back home. Shower. Prepare dinner. 7.50 pm. Husband back. 8.30 pm. Dinner ready. Eat dinner. Spend time together. 10 pm. Sleep.

That was my Monday :)

Dinner was baked salmon + peppered Swiss mushroom with beansprouts + corn followed by some fruits.  Yummy!

I’ve already sliced some of the ingredients for tomorrow’s dinner.

I’m often still up at 5.50 am ( i.e haven’t gone to bed yet)… :P You don’t cook Chinese food at all right?I love the food in Singapore but I miss my mum’s cooking sometimes and once in a while I make one of the dish that we usually eat at home back in MU.

hey! Thanks for visiting my blog! I love your time schedule! I’ve decided to start waking up at 5am and do some yoga everyday! Now you’ve motivated me even more! If the gym was closer I would actually go in the morning but I keep that for the afternoon after work…

I just edited. It’s 8.30 pm. Dinner ready. Eat dinner :) No way was dinner ready in 10 mins haha. Took about 20-30 mins for the salmon to be cooked.

That is why I have to sleep between 10 to 10.30 pm every day if I want to wake up this early.

Actually you know, I feel fresher, more awake and just feel good when I reach office if I had worked out in the morning! Maybe you should try … ?

O_o What time do your classes usually start?

I seldom cook chinese food. I think at the moment I am experimenting with different flavours … If prefer to watch Jamie Oliver than Kylie Kwong if both are showing at the same time.

I miss my mum’s cooking too. My chinese foods don’t taste as good as hers :P Sometimes I cook “Bol Renversé” as the husband loves “Bol Renversé”! I cooked “niuk yan” twice. I am also thinking of making some “gateaux piments” soon, with a little twist to it. Maybe next week!?

5 am? Wow that’s even earlier than my waking time! :) What time do you need to leave for work? What time do you sleep if you have to wake up at 5 am?

Sometimes I work out after work but nowadays, I kind of prefer to cook after work :) Depends … Sometimes after I’d already prepared dinner, the husband and I will exercise at home or just outside for a while before eating dinner.

No way i could wake up at five even when slept at 10pm. Love sleep a lot. Sometimes my colleagues would tell me that my blood will turn out to be like liver (the creole word taler to disang vine couma lefoie)… Now you make like to prepare niouk yan. The tedious part is the squeezing thing to remove the water. My skin will peel off :(

I didn’t know that many find the sqeezing part the most tedious! When I made the last two times, the squeezing was like a normal process to me … never thought “ayoo bisin perser la!” :P I used a very thin towel and squeezed little by little.

    At 2 p.m. :P
haha . I remember you said that WL likes “Bol Renversé” before.
“gateaux piments” is good. In Mauritius, I always buy gateaux piments after I buy halim. :P

    As for Chinese food…
One of my fave dish is the one with chicken, mushroom etc and the red ‘rice’ to add color. ah.. and some Chinese wine too. The whole dish is red. I think it’s a Hakka dish. The name doesn’t come to my mind right now.

It starts at 2 pm everyday? hehehe you’re making me crave for some “Halim” now! Haven’t had Halim for sooooo long!!!

I think I know what chinese dish you are referring to but I’m not sure if it’s the same. If you have a pic show me next time! :P

  13. clive Says:

Hmm i think it all depends on the amount of chou chou you are processing. Each time i make niuk yan, it comes to 15 chou chou minimum. So i complain. I also use a towel to squeeze. So much preparation and everything goes into the stomach in less than 5 minutes :)

I made this dish once right before I left Shanghai. :P I followed my sister’s (she loves cooking) instructions and managed to make this dish. The photos should be somewhere in one of my external hard disks. I’ll show you the photos soon.

I’ve only used 6 chokos at most! :P Maybe there’s an easier and faster method to squeeze them …? haha you must appreciate every piece when you eat them parcequi finne prend la peine preparer :)

    That’s very true.
