Today after training, I went to NTUC and bought a big packet of almond ($8+), peanut ($2+), green golden raisin ($3+) & seaweed nut ($1+) and I created my own mixed nuts! It’s much cheaper than buying those pre-packed mixed nuts, plus I can choose what I really want to include in the mixture. Will bring some to work. Mixed nuts are good snack choices.

Nuts are full of important nutrients, including protein and fiber. Yes they are relatively high in FAT but most of that fat is unsaturated. It’s important to look at not only the amount of fat you eat but also the type of fat. Saturated fat can raise blood cholesterol levels, which can increase the risk of heart attack or stroke. Unsaturated fats, such as polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, can actually decrease low-density lipoprotein (LDL, or “bad” cholesterol) levels.
Raisins are also a very rich source of antioxidants. They contain only Natural sugar for Natural Energy. No preservatives are used to keep them fresh. Researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry have discovered five antioxidants in raisins that may help prevent cavities and gum disease.
