Family Dinner @ The Vila’ge, Orchard

Posted on 16 December 2007 by Carine Olivia

Had dinner with my bro, sis, couz and in-laws on Saturday. We went to The Vila’ge — my 2nd time in less that a week and I might be going there again with my poly mates soon haa — I like this place! It has this warm and cosy setting. We ordered several stuffs including ox tail (?), the famous pig knuckles, pure veggies, pizza, nice deserts etc. I didn’t try the ox and the pig knuckles. I’m on my way of becoming a vegetarian. Well I’m still eating fish though as I still can’t suddenly exclude everything … little by little … but thinking of turning into a full Ovo-Lacto vegetarian soon. I’m feeling great so far. It kind of feels weird when you tell people that you want to become a vegetarian. Of course they will ask you why. Then when you eat out with friends, it feels a bit odd too. Well maybe it’s just me eh :)

Anyway here are some pics of the night … We went for a movie after dinner. Watched “Warlords“, a 2.5 hr chinese movie with english subtitles. It was a nice movie.

This crepe was nice!! :)

Wow good luck Carine on becoming a vegetarian, it took me a few attempts at first but once i got used to it its been quite easy to maintain (for 17 years now!!).

Are you sure you won’t miss KFCs and big juicy steaks and seafood? :o

@Lash: Main reason is health reason :)

@Andrew: What’s hard so far is that I find it hard to find what I like even though dishes are vegetarians. I just don’t like the way they cook them.

@Angele: Don’t tempt me! haha :P Maybe I will miss seafood hahaha. As for chicken or red meat, I don’t think I will miss them. I was never a meat lover. Yeh the crepe was indeed gud!! You don’t like bananas?

  5. Angele Says:

Nope.I can’t stand bananas.Even the smell makes me kinda sick. o.O The funny thing is I remember I used to like it when I was a kid. Then suddenly I stopped eating bananas or any related food made with bananas!*lol*
