damn!
i remember last year reading one of your entries about your running routine.
it inspired me to give it a try. 3 weeks later i had knee pain. lol. since then, no more running…only press-ups, sit-ups!
but i can’t wait to try again. it was fun…i reckon my VMO (quads - medial) is too weak (+ i may have been too eager). hence, the knee pain.

@Waz: It’s nice to hear that you got inspired after reading one of my entries
hmm about the knee pain, yah maybe you ran too much too soon hehe. I had ITB 3 yrs ago.

yeah, that’s wat i reckon has happened…ITB? wat did you do? rest, pain management, stretch, alternate training routine?

@Waz: I rested (no running for about 2-3 weeks I think) and went for physio. Had to stretch my ITB a lot. I loved the deep issue massage (so painful but good!). I stopped running soon after I felt the sharp pain on my outside knee. So maybe that’s why I recovered fast. But my ITB still feels tight sometimes esp after a long run.

yeah, that must have hurt! zat’s the prob with regular running! if you don’t combine it with regular stretch, you end up with overuse and muscle imbalance…but i guess that’s also the case with other sports!
