My upgrade to wordpress V2.2 is a disaster. My dashboard is messed up. I can’t see incoming links or news. I reinstalled wordpress, changed the permissions of the file, reset my options and still, the dashboard is messed up despite following all instructions carefully. Moreover, I can’t add new categories without disabling JavaScript from my browser! Several people from wordpress’ support forum are having the same problem …

i’m still at v2.0.7, after the security fix patch and before v2.1 & above
i think they’re upgrading it with more bloated features, getting more commercialized, happy to stick with my version
you can try downgrade to v2.1 if v2.2 still problematic

I haven’t upgraded to 2.2 yet, am still waiting for the server to provide the automatic upgrade.
Guess we’ll need to wait for the release of 2.2.1 to overcome these bugs.

some posts before, i had this problem too..
i couldnt post anything..
was getting an error like
“forbidden access to xxx/post.php”
but, now its ok!
havent still understood wat was wrong n how it came right back!
for the moment am still with 2.1.1

2.2 is finally getting really messy. There are also lots of issues like widget problems. It crashes your whole installation. I think the new features aren’t up to the point. The popular k2 is also reported to fall apart with some of the new features.
The best options might be to downgrade to a previous install. That’s what I’ll be doing instead of losing time finding fixes for each and every bug coming out of the box with the 2.2 lol.
I’ve got a 2.1(among the latest ones) with me, if you want I can bundled it in the normal zip and let you have it. What do you say?
That’s what I think I’ll be doing for me since I’ve also upgraded to 2.2 :(.

Heard that V2.2 is a mess.
