Mikey to go on a diet
It’s Mikey as in “Mike” and “Key” and not “Me” and “Key” – They kept calling him “Me-Key” heee :>
So I brought Mikey to the vet this afternoon for a general health check up. I went to Vet Practice at Jalan Jurong Kechil (very near to my place compared to the one at Sunset Way). Consultation fee is $25. Mikey was sooo shy at the vet hahaa. He clinged onto me when we took him out of his carrier box. Awwwww … He also wouldn’t want to come out onto the weighing machine lol.
My big garfield weighs a whooping 8.3 kg! The vet told me that Mikey should go on a diet – have to buy ‘light’ cat food which has lower calories. It’s better and easier for him to lose the extra weight now when he’s still young than when he is older. Overweight cats may suffer from diabetes, so better be safe than sorry!
Anyway, I bought a Nutro Adult ‘Light’ cat food (see packet) from the pet shop. Costs $12.50 for a medium size packet.
