Taipei 101 - Asia’s current tallest building (not for too long though because Shanghai is building one tallest building right now)

There are only branded shops inside

Next … a traditional chinese shop - dunno how to call this place. They believe in geometry and similar stuffs. One of the sales assistants analyzed my chinese name for free (they did it with everyone else) and told me that my chinese name (based on the number of strokes) is not good and I won’t have a good life (be it career, relationship, family, studies etc). Then she asked me to buy a pendant to remove the bad spell or stuffs like that. Anyway, I am not a believer in these things. So no point buying. I was told that a famous asian actor / singer spent millions of dollars just to change his name! A few things which they pointed out too:

1) If one of your house window faces a bridge, it’s bad luck and you will never be rich.
2) The position of your bed should never be in such a way that your feet faces the door.
3) Cats are bad luck. So don’t keep cats. On the other hand, I know some who believe that cats bring good luck (my neighbour for example).
4) If one of your house window faces a hospital, it’s bad luck

Of course I don’t believe in all these but it’s interesting to know ya hehe.

Next … a bakery shop .. yummy!

Guess what this is …

Pearl! Grinded the pearls to powder. Then you can add one teaspoon of grinded pearl powder to your drink and drink it … they say it’s good for the eyes. Of course I didn’t buy heh.

Leaving Taiwan … At Taiwan Airport.

I had a few hours to spare. So I went to the Internet Room to check my emails.

From Taiwan to Singapore via SQ Airlines. I chose the potato & fish dish and for desert we all got a small tub of Häagen-Dazs Mango flavour ice cream! Yummy!!!

Next Family Trip? Maybe Korea or Japan or Australia hehee
