We first visited Hualien’s East Coast Scenic Area. This place is gorgeous. Let the pictures (above) speak for themselves.
Then, the tour guide brought us to a marble factory. This is how they cut a big marble stone.
Next to the factory is their exhibition hall. The statue above costs NT$650,000 = SDG$32,500!

Lunch was at a nearby restaurant. This is some sticky rice that I didn’t like.
After lunch, we embarked on our 7 hour bus journey to TAITUNG county (East-South part of Taiwan)! We stopped several times along the way (after every 1.5 hrs) to go to the rest room. Ewww I hate public toilets!
Our first stop was at an outdoor camping site for hikers. The weather was great. It was cool and breezy.
So after our long bus journey, half of the day was gone. We had dinner at a night market. This is where I tried for the very first time the famous SMELLY TOFU. NOOOOO I didn’t like it and neither did my parents haha!!! The taste is just too strong. It even goes up to my nose!
I also saw an indian food stall (the vendor is a pakistani) at the night market selling BIG samosas and wrappers (sort of roti). I bought a chicken wrapper and it tasted good!
